My work revolves around themes of queerness and identity, specifically exploring gender as a construct, what it means to inhabit a queer body, as well as an exploration of my own identity. The human mind and social commentary are themes that arise because of the innate tie to identity. My style is heavily influenced by traditional tattoo styles, anime and cartoons. I draw inspiration from classical and contemporary horror works, popular media, nature, the queer experience, and the human spirit. I work digitally on my iPad using Procreate as well as doing traditional works with pen and ink.
Only until early adulthood was I fully able to personally express myself due to the stifling of individuality in the environment I grew up. Self- expression is so important to me because it allows for creativity, community, and autonomy by sharing the unique set of experiences, emotions, and thoughts each person holds. I create stickers and prints of my artwork for individuals to personalize their spaces and unapologetically express themselves in a continuing conversation between themselves and the world.•UNAPOLOGETICALLY EMBRACE YOUR WEIRD•
